For over a thousand years people have celebrated, commemorated and remembered the major events of their lives here at the Parish Church of St. Edmund and St. Mary. It is a place where the past, the present and the future are held together; a place where the love of God has been shared, is shared and will be shared – an ancient building with a voice for the 21st Century.

We are a supportive and inclusive faith community. We seek to live by faith, to be known by love and to be a voice of hope in this community and beyond. As Christians we strive to be caring and to use our faith every day to be a transforming presence wherever we find ourselves. Our life together as a church family revolves around our worship, prayer and Bible study which enables us to belong, believe and grow in our faith.
But, we are not alone - everyone is on a journey of faith throughout their lives. If you would like to know more or just ask questions, just get in touch or drop in and see us.

Whether you would like to talk about a baptism, a wedding or a funeral or whether you have that inner voice that says “there’s more to life” we would be delighted to explore this with you, to journey with you; so that you too may be a part of the thousand plus years of the Christian story here in Ingatestone.

Revd. Patrick Sherring.
