Getting married at the church.Numerous couples have said their vows before God and family and friends in the church building across the centuries. The Church of England has clear guidelines as to who can be married in church. If either of the couple live in the parish, or were born in the parish, or either of their parents live or have lived in the parish, they have an automatic right to a wedding in the church. There are other qualifying connections, including attending worship regularly for six months at the church prior to the wedding service. There is lots of important information
here.
We are happy to follow the Church of England guidelines allowing marriage after divorce. There is a detailed leaflet explaining the guidelines and application process
here.
